This International Gundog Event For Retrievers held on Sunday & Monday / May 30-31, 2004 was sponsored by Skinner's Dog Food in association with The Shooting Gazette Magazine.

The Draw for the running order of the teams took place on January 28, 2004 at The Grosvenor Hotel, Stockbridge, Hampshire, in the presence of Mr. Greg Panter, Managing Director and Mr. David Andrew, Area Sales Manager of Skinner's Pet Foods and on behalf of the International Retriever Event, Messrs. John Birkett and Rupert Hill (organisers) and Caroline MacGregor (event coordinator and representative of the Sherborne Castle Country Fair committee).

The International Retriever Event at SHERBORNE CASTLE is now the largest of its kind in the world!

This year, for the first time, the USA and CANADA are able to compete in the working tests at The International Retriever Event, held again at Sherborne Castle.
